"Coach Daynin's private lessons served as a critical component in my jiu jitsu journey. In 2017-2018, my professional obligations prevented me from maintaining a normal class schedule. As such, I took weekly private lessons. Coach Daynin's patience, attention to detail, and exceptional technical knowledge allowed me to maintain momentum and ultimately promote on-time. My family has since moved from HI, however, the coaching and personalized instruction that I received from Coach Daynin provided me the necessary skills to progress within striking distance of my black belt.
"I am writing to express the appreciation that I have for you, by accepting me on as a private student. We have tried over the years to get this started, but due to schedule conflicts on both sides, it just didn’t work out.
Now, we have been training together for the last six months and it has been a real eye opener into the science of Jiu-Jitsu. As you know I have been training in different grappling disciplines over the past 15 years and have come to realize that strength and speed has its place, but timing and leverage will win the match!!
I would like to end by saying Mahalo for your time and patience when talking through the thought process of a technique. Making sure I truly understand why and how a move will work, or if it needs to be tweaked to suit my physical limitations. You make the money spent worth my time (traveling from Ewa Beach). Can’t wait to see the next six months!"
"We were so excited when KJJ announced they would start doing private lessons, as Mason and Phoebe have been anxious to get back to in person training. Never having done private lessons we didn't know what to expect. The kids were slightly disappointed that lessons would only be 30 minutes in length but we have come to realize that those 30 minutes are invaluable and packed full of training. Mason and Phoebe are learning as much if not more in those 30 minutes then they did in the traditional 60 minute group class. Furthermore, there confidence and excitement towards their training has been renewed and continues to increase. It has been such a wonderful experience that we have decided to continue private lessons in addition to group classes. These private lessons has been well worth the investment."
"Private lessons have been a blessing for my sons during covid. Not only do they get to continue learning jiu-jitsu, they get to learn at an accelerated pace. I'm a firm believer that private lessons are the fastest way to progress and I'm grateful that my sons have been giving this opportunity. Thanks Daynin!"
