Coach Daynin, who was born and raised in Hawaii as a life-time Inventor and Entrepreneur and has been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since April 2001.
She is the first and only female to own a Jiu-Jitsu and Self Defense school in Hawaii.
Daynin has competed in various tournaments over the years and has won first place in many of them, to include winning all 3 divisions (Women's Gi, Women's No-Gi and The Women's Absolute Championship) in the 2009 National American Grappler's Association (NAGA). She also won first and second place medals at the Worlds Masters Tournament in 2014 in Long Beach, California. Daynin currently resides in Hawaii and aspires to build a Life School, not a Fight School. Impact Kahala Jiu-Jitsu has been thriving for almost eight years and currently has an average student base of 350 students and she has also taught various groups like the Marines, Army, Air Force, schools and businesses.
Daynin travels Internationally to present a variety of one-of-kind seminars to other BJJ academies. She also continues to build her YouTube channel called “99 Techniques” which stems from her adult promotions test. Daynin continues to create and invent products for her “Think Jiu-Jitsu” Brand ( www.ThinkJiuJitsu.com ) as well as creating unique Kids Camps for her academy and kids programs. Jared is currently a Black Belt and has been training Jiu-Jitsu for 13+ years and hopes to share his passion for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu with others. Through his short journey he’s learned that many concepts of BJJ translate directly to life off the mats. Timing, technique, leverage, and most importantly Patience! Concepts that can definitely benefit everyone in daily life!
Cyndia is a Purple Belt and has been training for 6+ years. She was born and raised in Southern California; and as a teen, lived part-time in Hawaii. She permanently moved to Oahu and began an adventurous 10 years racing sailboats professionally and cycling. She has a Bachelor’s in Photography and is now a professional sports and fine arts photographer. In early 2017, Cyndia started her training with Impact Kahala Jiu-Jitsu; and in the summer of 2018, she became an instructor’s assistant than Kid’s Instructor. Professor Daynin Dashefsky promoted her to purple belt in February of 2020. Joining the team has helped her recover strength and flexibility. Wendy is a 4th degree Blue Belt and has been training Jiu-Jitsu for 3+ years. Wendy lived in Kaimuki her whole life and has been working with kids since 2013. She is on her final year of masters program for mental health counseling.
Wendy has 5 pets, 4 cats and a dog.
Lynn is a Purple Belt and has been training Jiu-Jitsu for 7+ years. Lynn works as a Probation Officer. She started Jiu-Jitsu to learn self-defense and get some fitness out of it. It also gave her a chance to do something with her two daughters as a single mother.
When Lynn has time out of her busy schedule, she enjoys reading a good book, having a nice dinner, and watching television. She also enjoys Camping and Traveling.
Mike has been doing Jiu-Jitsu for 6+ years and is a Purple Belt. He is also a detective with the Honolulu Police Dept in the Domestic Crimes Unit. He has been on the force for 25 years. Mike is a single father of one son.
